About Us

Dr. Lisa Burroughs, Principal Counselor, earned her BA, MS, and PhD from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX. Her Masters and Doctoral coursework included extensive hours in counseling, women's studies and gerontology. Dr. Burroughs is published in the latter two fields. She earned her Masters of Divinity from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Austin, TX., with an emphasis in pastoral counseling. Further, Dr. Burroughs earned a Masters degree in Health Care Ethics through the College of Medicine, Creighton University. Considering the political climate in our great nation, this degree is timely in addressing ethical matters for all populations. Additionally, Dr. Burroughs is an ordained pastor in the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ [LCMC], endorsed and approved by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, a Certified Pastoral Counselor (CpastC), an Ethicist, and serves as a supply pastor in rural LCMC congregation. She is additionally certified in arbitration & negotiation and career & employment counseling.

Dr. Burroughs also has completed all required units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE), and formerly served as a Chaplain at St.Joseph Regional Health Center, CHRISTUS-Dubuis Hospital of Bryan (a long term acute care hospital) and St.Joseph Manor-Assisted Living facility, all located in Bryan, TX.

Dr. Burroughs and her husband, Bill, have shared 44 years together, united in holy marriage. They have two adult sons and have resided in the Bryan/College Station area for over 34 years. They are 'silly' grandparents of their first grandchild, a precious girl, born in July, 2014! Praise God from whom ALL blessings flow!
