Stress Management Counseling

Identifying triggers of stress while collaboratively developing a plan to manage triggers requires time and thoughtful introspection. Well-meaning family and friends may say, ‘just get over it’ or ‘if you were a better Christian, stress wouldn’t affect you so much’.  Grace is best served in these situations!  Only the client knows the cause of the stress! With God’s guidance and a counselor’s help, most stress is manageable, once given strategies that make sense to the client in the given situation.

Be aware, however, that stress is truly a killer! If feeling out of control, overwhelmed, or surly, stress may be the culprit.  While meditation, prayer, and physical activity may help to relieve stress, long term stress management generally requires counseling to address the root cause(s).
